Project: Couture-Styled Fashion Photoshoot featuring Sheila Simone Designs
While visiting Sheila Simone’s showroom in Irvine, California, as a fashion photographer in Orange County and Los Angeles I wanted very badly to work with one of her gowns. I pulled together a creative team and a Tatum, a model who I had worked with in the past and we got to work concepting out some ideas. From the subtle glimmer of the fabric to the sparkles in the accessories, we all were so happy with how this project turned out.
Project goals: To showcase designs from Sheila Simone just in time for the Valentines day season.
Model: Tatum Libert
Location: Downtown Los Angeles
Lighting: I used a few different techniques here. A large 60” parabolic umbrella for some, with a light off to the side to create subtle fill, and sometimes positioned in the back to slightly glisten the hair.
