Growing up, I was surrounded by a house full of photographs and wall portraits. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins… some so far around the world it would be years between meeting them, others in worlds beyond our earthly existence.
I keep a stack of printed photos from my childhood in my dresser drawer. I pull them out from time to time, remembering back on all the memories these photos hold behind them. A few of these family members I have never met and are now gone, but their life and legacy shines through in what is likely one of the last tangible reminders of them left on this earth. This is why as a family photographer based in Orange County I believe this family you hold close, and these members who mean so much to you, deserve to live in photos.

As years go by, and we often forget how our loved ones looked and felt in a particular moment. Photography has the ability to preserve these memories and make them tangible, allowing us to look back and remember our loved ones as they were. As our lives get busier and busier, it's easy to put things off and let these moments slip away. However, family photography is a reminder to take the time to appreciate the moments we have with our loved ones and to cherish them for years to come.

My approach to family photography is personal, relaxed, and enjoyable. I believe that each family is unique, and I strive to capture the essence of your family's personality and style through my photography.

I understand that being in front of a camera can be intimidating, so I strive to create a comfortable environment where you and your family can be yourselves. I will guide you through the session with gentle direction, but ultimately my goal is to capture your family and all the unique quirks and personality you bring, which is what makes your family uniquely yours.

How are my Photo Sessions Different?
As a family photographer with years of experience, I have honed my skills in capturing authentic moments and emotions that reflect the unique personalities and relationships within each family. From the pre-session consultation planning and styling, to full hair and makeup experience, providing guidance on posing, and expert understanding of lighting , these are all factors that contribute to the delivery of your images, I strive to ensure that every detail is carefully planned and executed to provide a luxurious yet relaxed and enjoyable experience for you and your family.
After booking, we will schedule a time for our in-person styling and planning consultation, this is where we go over all the details of your big day, I can help or give advice on clothing options, we can chat about what hair/makeup style best suites you, etc.
The next time we meet up, it’s shoot day, this is the most fun part of the session, we spend time capturing your family, personalities, and the essence of what makes your family uniquely yours.
About two weeks after your session, we schedule an in-person ordering consultation, this is when we go over what images you want to order, and what collections you are interested in you will have plenty of beautiful legacy pieces and options with how to display your artwork. I then get to work retouching and polishing off the images, placing your order and in just a short amount of time your beautiful artwork will be in your hands and ready to display for the world to see!

What should we wear for our family photo session?
Great Question! From the moment you book with me we choose a date that works for your family, and then let the planning begin! We will schedule an in-home consultation (or zoom if you are not in the area) where we talk about the overall feel and essence of what you want to your shoot to be, whether that is in-studio or outdoors. We will talk about how you might want your hair and makeup to look and we can go over some clothing options you already love, what works well together, and what you and your family are going to look and feel amazing in. I’ll share examples of the beautiful products I have to offer with you, and we can take a look at your walls/living space and decide what some options are that will look amazing on them!
Where should we take our family photos?
We can either do in-studio, or on-location, whatever you are feeling for these special memories you want to create.
How long does a family photo session typically last?
Anywhere between 1-2 hours, this largely depends on children’s age, and how long their attention span is.
What should we bring to our family photo session?
We will of course go over clothing options during your in-home consultation, and I will send a photo prep guide prior to your session.
How long will it take to receive our photos?
We will set up an In-home reveal/ordering session 2 weeks after your shoot. This is when we are able to look through all your beautiful images side by side, choose which ones you love best, and decide what types of products are going to best do them justice! I will then order your photos and need another 4 weeks from there for final printed work, but the digital can be delivered sooner, just inquire!
