Project: Athleisure-styled photoshoot featuring Trey Mitcham of Brand Models.
Prior to this shoot I really wanted to execute a minimal, yet clean approach using the beautiful monochrome features of this parking garage at Lido village and harsh shadows. One of my favorite things to shoot is harsh shadows, particularly when it comes to men, so I knew when I stumbled across Lido Village on Balboa Island in Newport Beach, that I had truly found a special setting.
Captured in the scenic coastal setting of Newport Beach, this athleisure photoshoot features a male model showcasing stylish, performance-driven activewear. The shoot blends fitness and fashion, highlighting the versatility of athleisure in both athletic and everyday settings. With Newport Beach’s modern architecture and waterfront views as the backdrop, the images exude a fresh, effortless California vibe.
For the second part of this photoshoot, we moved to a private dock in my neighborhood in the Huntington Harbor, in Huntington Beach, it perfectly tied our two shoots together, and the use of harsh lighting again was how I was able to execute these beautiful images.
