How it All Works
First, we schedule a consultation call. This is where we chat all about you or your graduate, your family, what you do for fun, what kind of pets you have, this allows me to really get a feel for your personality type and how we might be able to incorporate certain elements within your life to really capture the true essence of you. Then we discuss all about what your dream graduation session would be. If we decide it’s good fit, we choose a date, I collect the full session fee, and you now have a place on my studio calendar.
Next, we would set up a styling consultation, preferrably at your home, a local coffee spot, or through zoom if you are out of my area. We would chat all about styling, clothing, color palette, what backgrounds we want to use for your shoot, and how you want the styling to feel. What kinds of props/hobbies you want to incorporate, etc. We also go over hair/makeup preferences. If we are meeting in your home this is the perfect time for me to look at your wall space and give some pointers as to what might work and look best in certain areas along with giving you the chance to view studio samples of all the beautiful products I offer.
The next, and in my opinion, most fun part is the shoot! First, you would show up at my studio, my amazing Hair and Makeup-Artist will begin go over style preferences, ideas and offer their expert advise on how to leave you feeling like a model (If you have opted for an outdoor shoot, they will meet you in home). Once they are finished, it’s, “lights, camera, action!” I will be by your side the entire time, helping with posing, showing off the elements or hobbies you love to do, most importantly capture what makes you… you. Parents, other siblings, and even pets can join in too, but of course this shoot is for the graduate, so we want to make sure we capture everything that that embodies who they are and what might be unique to them.
Once your session is over, we schedule a viewing appointment within two weeks to go over all the images, compare them side by side, and I’ll be right there to lend you my advice should you need it. We can discuss all the beautiful product options I have to offer and what would look amazing in your home. From there I work on your final selections, place an order for your products, and soon after all your beautiful portraits will be ready to be displayed for the world to see!
